Light Trails Camera

Light Trails Camera for Android — package com.nexperlabmedia.lighttrails

Effective date: 2026-09-16 · Last updated: 2026-09-16

At a glance

Light Trails Camera makes a “long exposure” in software: for 1 to 30 seconds it takes the frames coming from the camera and stacks them with a lighten blend (the brighter value per pixel and channel), so moving lights — car headlights, sparklers, stars — leave trails while the dark background stays put. It is not a sensor long exposure. While an exposure runs, the app also reads the phone's accelerometer to warn you if the phone is shaking. All of it happens on your device. There is no account, no login and no developer-operated server; the app contains no network code of its own — the only components that use the network are the Google advertising and billing SDKs. The camera is the only sensitive permission.

Data sent to the developerNone. The developer operates no server for this app.
Account or sign-inNone.
Local dataYour settings only: the exposure duration, the shake-warning switch, the onboarding, tripod-tip and first-save flags, the display language, and the ad-free and ad-frequency state — in the app's private storage on this phone. No frame, no picture and no sensor value is stored in them.
Camera framesStacked in memory on the device into a single accumulation buffer and discarded as they go. Only the final picture you choose to save is written, as a new file in your gallery; nothing is uploaded.
Motion sensorThe accelerometer is read only while an exposure runs, to show a shake warning. The readings are not stored and not sent anywhere; reading this sensor needs no permission.
Network useOnly the Google AdMob and Google Play Billing SDKs. The app itself makes no network request — no upload of any kind.
Third partiesGoogle AdMob (banner and interstitial ads) and Google Play Billing (the ad-free purchase). No analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK.
Permissions declaredCAMERA, INTERNET, AD_ID, BILLING, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*. No microphone, no storage, no photo-library access, no location.

1. What the app stores on your device

Everything the app keeps is in its own private shared_preferences, on this phone only: the exposure duration you chose (duration_seconds), whether the shake warning is on (shake_warning), the onboarding, tripod-tip and first-save flags (onboarding_done, tripod_tip_shown, first_save_done), the display language you picked (app_locale), and the ad state (ad_free, lifetime_core_actions, interstitial_last_day — see the advertising section). The advertising consent choice is held by Google's consent SDK on the device.

No camera frame, no picture and no sensor reading is written to those settings. None of it is transmitted to the developer, and there is no server-side copy of anything.

2. Camera frames and the software long exposure

The live view and the exposure need the CAMERA permission, which Android asks you for the first time you open the camera screen. The camera runs with audio disabled (enableAudio: false), so nothing is recorded, and the app has no microphone permission.

The “long exposure” is done in software, not by the sensor. The camera delivers a stream of preview frames; during an exposure (1 to 30 seconds, your choice) each frame is handed to a worker thread and merged into one accumulation buffer — for every pixel and channel the brighter value is kept (a lighten blend) — of at most 1920×1080 pixels. The frame itself is discarded immediately, and if the worker is still busy the next frame is simply dropped, never queued. Nothing from the stream is written to disk. When the exposure ends, the buffer is the picture on screen: if you save it, it is encoded as JPEG and written as a new file in your gallery; if you discard it, it is gone. The app does not read your existing photos — there is no photo picker and no media permission.

3. Shake warning (accelerometer)

Because a hand-held phone blurs a long exposure, the app listens to the accelerometer while an exposure runs (through sensors_plus, one reading every 50 ms) and computes the spread of the last 20 readings; if it exceeds a threshold, a shake warning is shown and the result screen notes how many samples were shaky. The subscription starts with the exposure and is cancelled when it ends. The readings live only in memory for that window; they are not stored, not written into the picture and not sent anywhere. Reading the accelerometer needs no Android permission and it is not listed in the app's permissions. You can switch the warning off in the settings.

4. What the app does not collect

The app does not request or read your name, email address, phone number, contacts, messages, calendar, location, your existing photos, or any file outside the places described above. It has no account system, no sign-in and no cloud sync, and it contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. Apart from the requests the advertising and billing SDKs make, the app makes no network request at all — no camera frame, no picture and no sensor reading is ever sent anywhere.

Six permissions are deliberately not requested — the camera and gallery-saving libraries could otherwise merge them in, so the app's manifest strips them out with tools:node="remove": RECORD_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED. They do not appear in the installed package: saving goes through MediaStore, which needs none of them, and the camera runs without a microphone.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob) and consent

The app shows a banner ad and, occasionally, a full-screen interstitial through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The interstitial is not shown at all until you have saved five pictures, and after that at most once a day. To serve and measure those ads, Google may process your device's advertising ID (AD_ID), coarse device and network information, and ad interaction events. This happens inside Google's SDK; the developer does not see or store that data, and no camera frame, no picture and no sensor reading is given to it.

  • Google's handling of that data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and the Google Privacy Policy
  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app shows a Google-certified consent message (Google User Messaging Platform, UMP) before personalised ads are used. You can reopen it later from Settings → Privacy settings and change your choice.
  • You can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising on the device.

6. Ad-free purchase

A one-time in-app purchase (light_trails_premium) removes the ads. The purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing: the developer never receives your card number, billing address or any other payment detail, and sees only Play's aggregated sales reports. The app stores locally whether the purchase is active, so ads stop showing. Restoring the purchase on another device is handled by your Google Play account.

7. Permissions

The app declares android.permission.CAMERA (the camera), com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID and com.android.vending.BILLING itself. The camera is the only sensitive (runtime) permission, and Android asks you for it the first time you open the camera screen.

  • android.permission.INTERNET — the advertising and billing SDKs. Nothing else in the app uses the network.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID / ATTRIBUTION / TOPICS, WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE — merged in by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, Play services and the plugin libraries, to fetch and measure ads. The app does not use them itself.
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — the ad-free in-app purchase, handled by Google Play
  • The camera hardware (android.hardware.camera) is declared by the app with required="false"; the camera library additionally declares android.hardware.camera.any.

8. Saving and links

Saving always writes a new file — through Android's MediaStore, into an album named Light Trails, under a name such as lighttrails_20260916_123456.jpg. No storage permission is needed and nothing passes through any server of the developer. The app has no share function of its own and never reads your existing photos; a saved picture is an ordinary file in your gallery that you share from there, under the receiving app's policy.

The app never opens a link by itself — an intent leaves the app only when you tap something, such as the feedback button (which composes an email in your mail app) or the link to this page. The <queries> entries in the manifest for mailto and https exist only so that Android 11 and later lets the app see that a mail app or a browser is installed.

9. Automatic backup

The manifest does not disable Android backup (allowBackup="true"). Under Android's default behavior, eligible local data — that is, the settings above — may be copied to your own Google-account device backup. The developer cannot access or control that copy. What is actually backed up depends on your device, vendor and Android version.

10. How long data is kept, and how to delete it

Settings stay until you change them. Camera frames and accelerometer readings exist only in memory during an exposure and are gone when it ends; a result you discard is gone with it. Saved pictures are ordinary files in your gallery and you delete them there. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes all of the app's settings. Because nothing leaves the device, there is no other copy to delete.

11. Children

The app is not directed to children and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app's permissions, SDKs or data practices change, this page and its “last updated” date will be revised.

Light Trails Camera (Android) — 패키지 com.nexperlabmedia.lighttrails

선언 권한CAMERA, INTERNET, AD_ID, BILLING, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*.

앱이 보관하는 것은 모두 앱 전용 shared_preferences 안에, 이 기기에만 있다: 사용자가 고른 노출 시간(duration_seconds), 흔들림 경고 켜짐 여부(shake_warning), 온보딩·삼각대 안내·첫 저장 표시(onboarding_done, tripod_tip_shown, first_save_done), 사용자가 고른 표시 언어(app_locale), 광고 상태(ad_free, lifetime_core_actions, interstitial_last_day — 광고 절 참조).

여섯 가지 권한은 의도적으로 요청하지 않는다 — 카메라·갤러리 저장 라이브러리가 그대로 두면 병합해 넣을 수 있기 때문에 매니페스트에서 tools:node="remove"로 잘라낸다: RECORD_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED.

일회성 인앱 상품(light_trails_premium)을 구매하면 광고가 사라진다.

7. 권한

앱이 직접 선언하는 것은 android.permission.CAMERA(카메라), com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID, com.android.vending.BILLING이다.

  • android.permission.INTERNET — 광고·결제 SDK.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID / ATTRIBUTION / TOPICS, WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE — Google Mobile Ads SDK·Play
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — 광고 제거 인앱 구매용. Google Play가 처리한다
  • 카메라 하드웨어(android.hardware.camera)는 앱이 required="false"로 선언하며, 카메라 라이브러리가 android.hardware.camera.any를 추가로 선언한다.

Light Trails Camera

Light Trails Camera (Android) — パッケージ com.nexperlabmedia.lighttrails

宣言権限CAMERA, INTERNET, AD_ID, BILLING, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*。

アプリが保持するものはすべて、アプリ専用の shared_preferences 内、この端末内だけにある: 選択した露光時間 (duration_seconds)、手ぶれ警告のオン・オフ (shake_warning)、オンボーディング・三脚のヒント・初回保存のフラグ (onboarding_done, tripod_tip_shown, first_save_done)、選択した表示言語 (app_locale)、広告の状態 (ad_free, lifetime_core_actions, interstitial_last_day — 広告の節を参照)。

カメラ・ギャラリー保存のライブラリが放置すると自動でマージしうるため、マニフェストで tools:node="remove" により削除している: RECORD_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED。

買い切りのアプリ内購入 (light_trails_premium) で広告が消える。

7. 権限

アプリ自身が宣言するのは android.permission.CAMERA(カメラ)、com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID、com.android.vending.BILLING である。

  • android.permission.INTERNET — 広告・課金 SDK。
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID / ATTRIBUTION / TOPICS, WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE — Google Mobile Ads SDK・Play サービス・プラグインライブラリが広告の取得と測定のために自動でマージするもの。
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — 広告除去のアプリ内購入用。
  • カメラのハードウェア (android.hardware.camera) はアプリが required="false" で宣言し、カメラライブラリが android.hardware.camera.any を追加で宣言する。

Light Trails Camera

Permisos declaradosCAMERA, INTERNET, AD_ID, BILLING, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*.
